I noticed that when My truck is cold and I have the truck in T/H mode the converter slips even in 5th... But after it warms up some it works normal... I can't say that I have ever notice this before but thats no to say that it has not been like that for a while. Is this normal or just a warning of thats to come?

It means your trans is about to kerspload. Very bad. the C-6 clutch pack is letting go when the L sylinoid is coming on!!! Get her to the dealer ASAP!!!!
Either that or the torque converter clutch wont lock up untill the trans reaches a certian temp. This is built into the TCM as a way of warming stuff up.
I cant remember witch one it is though. Maybe Mike will chime in with the answer......were did I put my meds now......:uhoh2:
Edit: in the summer it shouldnt take long at all and it should only happen when the trans is cold(if the needle has moved it should lock up on you)

Its been cold in the morrning and thats the only time it will do it... I have a transgo kit in the trans but a stock converter... with my box stacked I can slip the converter in over drive no problem even warmed up... I only did that only twice (or So)... not to say that didn't damage it. When its cold it will slip even on very low settings. But once you get about 3-4 miles down the road it holds fine. I am not sure if thats normal... Its not much slip but if you let off in T/H mode the rpms will drop and not hold the truck back like it will when its warm.
p.s. the fluid still looks good and dosn't smell burnt

The Allison has a warm-up feature, that prevents the torque converter from locking up when cold, to generate heat to warm itself up.
If really cold, only some gears are available until warm.
