Anyone get there truck with the PTO upfit option for there truck? if so, are you using it and how does it work?

saratoga 02-26-2009, 01:49 PM The cab and chassis or med duties are the only ones with that option IIRC. A PTO will not clear the floorpan on the 2500HD or 3500 otherwise, and it's my understanding that none of the transmissions are even equipped with the PTO drive gear. Tanc Crusher 02-26-2009, 05:46 PM Correct on saratoga answers. No PTO gear in standard 2500 or 3500 since about 2003 or 2004. Pretty much I was thinking all LB7 had PTO gear. Only available on cab and chassis setup due to floor pan clearance. I do believe one can get an offset gear adapter to get the PTO down lower and squeeze in between the pan and transmission but will require either moving fuel lines on one side or exhaust on the other. Seems like I seen a post here or other forum listing the gear adapter and a hydralic PTO adapter. Brian | ||
