how is the maintance on diesel engine compared to gas?
is there more or less?
what do i need to do and how often? (oil changes,filters,tune ups stuff like that)

look for Dmaxallitech's schedule he gave us. In some ways there's less to do, other ways more. Just follow his schedule and you can't go wrong.

I use the hours meter as a gauge more so than the mileage I drive.
100 hours or so on the oil and I change it out with the filter.
Idling a lot, running a Box or Tuner, etc.
I never heard of an engine blowing up because it was over maintained.
Also a good idea is a secondary fuel filter. I am running the Nicktane pre-oem set-up with ZERO problems.
Maintenance is up to you, IMHO oil is cheaper than a motor, clean fuel will hopefully save the injectors for a long time to come.
