This light comes on everytime I start my truck for about 30 seconds. Well over the weekend I change the oil but the light still stays. :confuzeld

Does it need to be reset somehow? If so can I do it?

It's a 2002 6.6 Duramax

You need to reset it. You can read how in the owners manual. It is something like turn the key on and press the throttle to the floor 3 times.

It's exactly this:
With the engine off, turn the key to the run position (don't start the engine).
Completely depress and Completely release the accelerator pedal 3 times within 5 seconds.
You'll see a message confirming the reset --Change Engine Oil message flashes on '01 and '02, Oil Life Reset (or something like that) message in newer trucks.
