I know the issue has been beat like a dead horse but i'm wondering if I should put a Co pilot in my 2003 duramax I would like to run a 125hp tune with out the tranny slipping. The tranny has never been slipped currently...
I have read many good things and bad things..... What everyone take on the Co pilot who has one? Is it worth the money?
I couldn't find a instruction/ installation guide anywhere on ATS's web site does anyone have one?

I think you would be better off spending your money on hard parts for the trans. You'll see a lot bigger gain with a new converter, clutches and a transgo than just doing a co pilot. Unless you're getting a great deal on one aren't they about 1000.00 and you have to drop the valvebody to install it.

I did get a good deal and according to every source you do not have to drop the valve body.....

I did the exact samething you are considering when I started modding my old 02 CC. I installed a quadzilla, had upgraded air intake and exhaust. Limped the tranny in the 125 hp setting about the third time I let it shift hard into overdrive. Bought a new Co-pilot and still limped it. It is a bit of a job to install, definitely need instructions and you do have to get into the valve body. If you can get a good deal on one buy it, but do the upgrades in your transmission and tc first. You'll be money ahead.

Pretty much the same, you have to get into the valve body to cut the tube as well and wire in the new harness. Good to have instructions, thinking you might be able to get them on line from ATS.

Take the good advice. Get the tranny done. Not the electrical. If you had 600hp or more Id say get the Co Pilot......and your tranny was already complete. :)
well I have the co pilot i'm just debating using it now. ATS says no removal of the valve body is necessary...
