hi all

i have a 2008 2500hd duramax

i tow a flatbed trailer

i tow betwwen 3000 and 8000 lbs on it

i have air suspension in the back

i have winter tires on and studs in back since in rwd with locked diff

the treads of my front tires are using like a mountain

what could be the cause you guys think

the truck has 66 000 kms

I gonna assume you are describing "heel to toe" wear, which can be identified by running your hand clockwise, then counter-clockwise, over the tread. In one direction, the tread will feel smooth, and in the other, the tread blocks will grab at your hand.

If so, these trucks, both 2wd and 4wd, will create that pattern due to the suspension geometry and the tires tread pattern. By rotating the tires every 5-7k miles, this pattern typically is not a problem. If your tread wears this way sooner and becomes objectionable, perhaps an alignment adjustment is in order. I'd suspect the toe setting is incorrect, if this pattern develops within a low mileage interval.

check to see that you have both pins on each side of your UCA. the pins slide inside out on the inside of the frame bracket. Make sure you have one on each side.

they use from heal to toe

they are cupping (in front )

more than likely its a toe in or out problem

Well two of us say alignment (specifically the toe setting), so......Any more questions???:D
