I know it wont help my truck breathe any better, but was wondering, both of these put up against each other, which would you go with? Any benefits of one over the other? Any complaints on either? I see the AEM is a tad bit cheaper, is there any difference in craftsmanship or anything? Just looking for input, do either of these sound different than the other? Thanks for your opinion........

RUNNINHORN,

The AEM might be a little less money but NOTHING protects your engine like the Pro Guard 7 does. Plus we have an overstock sale on on the 75-10612 Stage II Pro Guard 7 AFE's that will probably make it the same or less then the AEM !!

I run the AEM, it is a pretty sharp setup. The AFE has a larger diameter intake tube which means less resistance. I suck the filter minder inside out when I get on it, I might as well remove it. I can't believe it took me this long to figure that out. Doh! AFE is also going away from metal pipes to plastic so know what you want and what you're getting. As far as filters go there is a filter test running around here (compliments of Spicer) and there are alot of people that will give their opinion also. Do a search and you will find more info to make your head spin for days if not months.
