I am buying a 07 silverado and am told by the dealer that the injectors are not covered under the drive line warranty. Also there is an inconsistant ticking noice coming from the bell housing / tranny area. Any ideas?
Thanks, Jim

Mine too.
dealer is incorrect. tick is likey typewriter noise, they all have it, normal. and it will be loudest at the drivers side wheel well.

Still......get it checked out for piece of mind. Are you buying it from a Chevy dealer?
Go to a better dealership if that's possible.

They are covered. Also there have been very few lbz injector failures.

The injectors are covered...I purchased the 2500HD in my signature used and they are covered. The ticking noise is common, but have it checked just in case - should be the sound of the EGR motor doing its thing.

The injectors are covered. The tick could be normal. There have been service bulletins describing that kind of noise, but I would be very wary of a dealer who didn't know the terms of the warranty.
