So my engine is showing two codes, TPS high and EGR. Only problem is I don't have EGR. I have the Banks Turbo and the EGR ports on the side of the intake are capped. What could be causeing this.

Also, which wires should read what when testing the TPS

I have had the same issue with my TPS intermittently. I just adjust it clockwise until the truck likes it again. It runs the TQ lockup adj a little and go for a drive and see how it reacts. Without it being set right your 700 isn't happy and might go postal. They will get really hot without lock up. There is a proper tool to adj em but I'm cheap. As for the EGR code, yup got that one too cause my EGR is also plugged off. I just pulled the bulb, see above.

could be a lucky code :p: , bad ground or something somewhere in the harness that was meant for the egr? doesn't make sense but then again neither does flying a private to a meeting ask for bailout money...silly silly GM

two issues:

TPS is either out of adjustment, or is failing, you'll need to test (voltage test through range).

EGR, the EGR solenoid just wants vacuum pressure to it, regardless if it sends a hose to the actual EGR valve itself. So if you don't have vacuum to that solenoid, and the hose off the solenoid (that would go to the EGR) plugged, you'll get a light.

Trust me, I gotta 1991 6.2 Burb...
