installed cat delete pipe tonight.... took about an hour or so.... about 5 beers in beer time.. definately wroth it. turbo whistle way more audible now. Even on deccelleration, people look up like its a jet driving by....

come my pretty muffler.......:muahaha:

butt dyno says worth every penny. quicker spools and generally harder pulling thru the band.

dentman4054,

Everybody that has gotten the front pipe from us has incicated a quicker spool up and lower EGT's too. East economical bolt in too, that can be reversed to stock real easily too! It is especially effective on the trucks that add a complete system like ours at the same time.

Awesome mod!!!! Other than the stinky exhaust it is nothing but pure elation! One of the cheapest and most impressive mods I have ever done on any car! highly recommended! No SES lights to boot.

Mark @ DPPIHey Mark, was thinking of taking off the cat on my LB7. I currently have the BANKS cat-back system on. You have something there to bolt up to the Banks 4 bolt flange and get rid of my cat?

Thanks!

You don't have a cat on your LB7, but the larger downpipe may help anyway

Very happy with mine. Initial indications are an increase in mpg's as well. JJ :)

Mark @ DPPIMark, when you install the after market items, how does the dealer treat you when you have a warranty issue? For example, I installed a kenwood nav system, and now have some onstar issues, my dealer won't touch the truck, because of the kenwood, even though it's an onstar module problem (or so says my audio guy).

Bodysurfer,

Bolts right up to the stock 4 bolt flange so if you have it there (I believe Banks uses it too) then it'll work no problem.

fish4fun,

Dealers can be fun, and it's a shame they all get dumped in together. There are some great ones out there too! What you need to do is be able to show that your Kenwood is not attached or controlling any of the On Star equipment, then they technically have to fix it. Good luck!

I ran that way for awhile. Slight increase in cabin noise, not bad, truck seemed more responsive. No concrete dyno #'s though. Dyno had trouble when I had scheduled to test it.

Thanks McRat, did you feel any significant power? To my understanding, it shoudn't throw any codes w/o cat and stock pipe and muffler. Correct?

Since I am a Dmax rookie, don't know much about it yet. If you delete the CAT, do you have to do a reflash or change something else???

nope... just unbolt the cat and install the delete pipe in its place. You'll notice a coooool new sound from the turbo,, especially from 1200-2000 rpms/ thats when its the loudest, and when it winds down sounds like a jet engine shutting off!! :ro)

Oh, some trucks set codes from removing the pipe. mine did not :D I also blocked the egr valve at the same time and it didnt light up the SES light... but iM sure a code is in the ECM...

you can instal the fingers stick.... its a dummy jumper that tricks the ecm into thinking everything is AOK.
