I know there are alot of threads about the injectors. I read one the said the truck was hard to start when the motor was warm. My will barely start when the motor is cold. I put a new fuel filter on a week ago thinking that was it. But no. I noticed that the fuel primer is always soft like there is no pressure there. Is this a sign that the injectors are going bad. I have 112000 miles on the ol girl. Do I have to take it to GM dealership to have them test the injectors?

I would have the truck tested but that does not sound like an injector problem does it crank a lot or turn over slow whenever you're starting it? Try running stanadyne through it for a while and see if it helps fix it.

I maybe wrong but think the LB7's have injector warrenty to 200K. It does sound like injectors to me. If you do take it to a dealer they will check the balance rates and they sould be in the +4 to -4 range, you really want them all to say 0. Another thing it could be is the regulator on the CP3 going bad. Or it could be a combo of CP3 and injectors. You should fill out your location it helps us cause one of us may know of a good dealer or shop that can help you. Don't feel bad mines going in on Tuesday for a new set of injectors under warrenty 93K :D

It will crank forever and then start. I can have it running and then shut it off and it still cranks forever. Like I said, I changed the fuel filter a weed ago. I cut apart the old filter to see if there was anything in the paper and it was clean. I am from Springfield, IL so if anybody knows a good place to take it. I havent noticed any fuel in the oil but i will check again.

Also try this crank it normal to start it then back off the key just a tad if the engine fires the ignition switch might be bad. Know it sounds weird but this comes from a reliable source.

My appt is on March 2nd. I took my truck to best buy to get my wife a birthday present and I couldn't get it started so my dad had to tow me home with a DODGE. That sucked. I will never hear the end of that one.

Hey everyone, got all new injectors put it on Monday and I cant remember the last time my truck started so great. All I had to pay was $82 for an oil change because there was fuel in the oil. I am so greatful for this website because had I not stumbled across the warranty on a thread, I wonder if the dealer would have said anything about it. Thanks again for all your usefull knowledge.

This is not a FREE advice forum you owe everyone here a case of beer:D That was quick turn around for the dealer though took 4 days for the dealer to do mine the did not have the injectors in stock even though I told them that was what was wrong but can't complain to much even with all the missing parts on my truck they still covered it under warrenty. And they didn't even notice my "Stock" turbo thanks Mark
