I just changed the fluid in my front and rear axles for the first time. I had alot of metal on the magnets installed in the drain plugs. I have 19,000 miles on the truck. My question is how much metal on the magnet is normal. Should I be worried.

chunks are bad but my fluid looked pretty nasty and the front axel's plug had a ton of goo on it. How much and what did they look like?

In my experience an big rig diffs. fines are alright it is normal wear and tear whilr chunks is bad. Also on the back they are an auto loking diff i think dont know about the front so that will also produce more metal

There was no major chunks just alot of fine particles on front and rear. Thanks guys, for the replies.
