Going down to see Joe at Suncoast the 28th for an upgrade! http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/images/smilies/rockon.gif Waffling between the Level 4 and 5. Warranty sure is nice to have. Any thoughts?

Joe should warantee any trans you have him build for you I would think. Talk to Joe and see what he thinks is best for your application ect. and see what the difference are.

same trans if your having it done in house. It should have the full warranty on it. Thats a nice feature.

I talked to Joe and really the only difference is that with the Level 5 is that it is a full xmsn install and has the 2 year warranty. The Level 4 is the same except that he rebuilds your transmission but you don't get the two year warranty. I think that 5 is going to be the way to go...not that either will have any problems but just for peace of mind.

I hope this is an incorrect statement. I've been under the impression that in house built trannies are included.

Maybe I misunderstood him. Guess I need to call Joe back up tomorrow. If that is the case then why go Level 5 if Level 4 will take the same power. And it is cheaper. Can anyone else confirm this?

Where is Joe located? Is there any preferred place to take my tranny in for service in the Northern California area?

Thanks,
Jeff

Most Northern Californians come and visit Mike L. at Inglewood Transmission in Southern California for their High performance Allison needs. Located adjacent to LAX airport for your traveling convience. ;)

That's exactly what I was told a month ago ...and the reason I went with the 5 vice the 4.

Confirmed it with Joe today. Looks like I will be going with the Stage 5 also. Hard to beat the two years unlimited mileage warranty!
