Don't strip the plastic bleed screw when you prime the new filter. Don't strip the plastic WIF sensor replacing it to the new filter. Go through the inner fender well its much easier.

Thanks, now when you say prime.....do I need to put some diesel in the filter prior to installing it?

No just install it and prime it with the prime button. Crack the bleeder screw loose prime until you get fuel comming out the bleeder screw. Then close bleeder and prime the button a couple more times and you should be good to go.

You need to push the primer until it gets hard after you have fuel out the bleeder.
Also might be a good idea to get some tools to do this if you are going to keep changing them yourself. There is a special tool to take off the Water in Fuel sensor. You can use a channel locks once or twice but you will probably end up stripping it as it is made of plastic. Merchant Automotive has them.

The last time I changed the fuel filter, undid the big blue inter-cooler hose and made the job much easier with all that room. Before I either let it fall in a baggie to the ground or sqeezed it by the air conditioning tubes.

I take out the inner wheel well. Seems to work the best for me.
