I rarely see any "deals" on Ebay (from a buyer's perspective). I translate that as a good place to sell your car, being aware of idiots that place phony bids.

Try the local shopper and newspaper and of course all the free places on the net like here. JMO
Ebay gets a percentage so figure that in as well to how much you will actually make

I have the best luck of using the local grocery stores pin up boards. It is free and lots of local traffic.
Don't be discourged by low offers, use it as a bargining tool.

While having it advertised in local shopper, newspaper and bulletin boards, find a good visible spot to park it with a sign taped on giving all the details and a phone no. Don't know your states laws re sales tax but check their effect on you when it comes to private sale vice trade-in.

:exactly: , and I printed up several "flyers" with ALL the details, Taped one next to the sign in the window and folded the rest and tucked them under a wiper.
This is after detailing it like I was going to drive it to the prom. Clean, shined, brand new (ultra cheap) tires, new windshield, seat cover . . .don't give them anything to trip over when they're trying to decide. Granted this was my '91 C1500 rather than a 2000 Tahoe, but I could have sold it 5 times if I could have cloned it, and I got about twice book value for it.
Always get the best coverage from our local Auto/Truck Trader published magazine.

well, i figured i'd cover all the bases... i listed it on ebay tonight http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=4542882246 and i will also hit the local listings and grocery stores with flyers pointing them to the listing. very nice tahoe, and last year of old body style. too bad for me, but they sell much cheaper. i'll be sad to see it go. i sure wish the previous owner of my duramax cared as much as me!
