On my blackberry so searching is difficult.. Long story short.. LLY 06 duramax. 2500 HD. Won't go into why but ECM Fried.. Can I get a salvaged ECM from junk yard for year and model. ( Does LLY or LBZ vin code matter ). And have dealer reflash for my truck and options? I know svs mgr and he said can't run warranty on it because when they send it baclk for remanufact they will know for sure and kick it back... And I want to have this go smooth and not have him risk our friendship... Or future good ill... Any one have real world experience on this?? Tnx

LLY or LBZ doesn't matter, just the year, btw LLY and LBZ 06's are the same motor, just different tuning, I would have it re-flashed the LBZ(360hp/650tq) any dealer can do this but getting them to is another story, PPE did mine for me, hope this helps.

If they go by vin at the scrap yard I'd be careful. Your vin would say LLY so they might find you a delphi ECM, just make sure they give you a bosch ECM.
