Smelled syn gear lube looked under truck saw small tear in rear diff cover with fliud leaking out ,hole was about same height on diff as fill plug and over about 3 inches should have taken pic:banghead: but i did not. tear was about 1/2" . When my buddy took it apart he found that the "gov lock " he called it had broke a small piece and sent it part way thru cover and then we found it in bottom of case.
No dealer has one and says they are on back order . Last month i waited 3 weeks for a replacemt rear for a brand new diesel d max van 2009 with 800 miles on it that just blew up for no reason they say sabotage from factory :eek:.My worker almost sh(*(* himself when it locked up at 30 miles per hr . My question is does anybody make a aftermarket locker for these rears i guess 11.5 is a tough one to find in the aftermarket we tried Auburn, Eaton, trulock . havent had any luck thanks for the help . Truck has 120 ,000 miles for what ever its worth . and rear fluid gets changed every 25,000
