It's just not right that we can make these trucks so fast. It's just not right that you guys are running all these big hp/tq numbers.

I am running pred on 65 and it is crazy:ro) , so I cannot imagine the power of you guys running stack, hot OJ, or what ever. I can see right now that this is going to be addictive!!!!

Just wish I had the loot for tranny upgrades!!!!!

In comparison, my 01 with 6.0 was tuned by wester's. For an HD it was pretty quick and could whip on some ricers. Now the new truck with a baby tune would kill my old truck.

Some body want to sponser me with a tranny, or maybe make donations to my tranny fund.

I have been reading here since it began. I was skeptical of all these mods, I was used to a 6.5 TD and 6.0 mouse motor. I am a believer now):h . I have a feeling I'll be buying tires more often!!

Oh god! I had a 6.5 TurD, it was a pooch!!!! I traded that in on a 8100, that was awesome in comparison. But this LLY with Predator on 100 and 5 inch exhaust is indescribable. I had such a bad impression of the 6.5 that I vowed I'd never own another diesel again. I stand corrected.

To be honest, I did not buy a dmax in 01 because of the 6.5 TD that I had. I was to scared to get another turd. My only big problem was the fuel driver on the pump, but boy was it a big one. Wish that I would have bought an 01 and maybe I could have found one in orange!!!!

I cannot wait to start working this truck, maybe we could farm some if the rain would stop!!!

The tranny WILL be my next upgrade. The truck is now parked for the summer, so now is the time to do it. I'll start researching as to who I will take it to up here in Minnesota for the tranny upgrade.

Wait till you go to the track or a sled pull. You'll really want to do some mods. Tranny funding is next.

Same here Stove. After the 6.5 left such a bad taste I wasn't too willing to go out and buy another GM diesel. I had a 98 K3500 4x4 ec pulling a 24' aluminum livestock trailer with one (ONE!) yearling bull in it and coming from Nebraska east into Iowa on I80 I had a hard time keeping above 55 mph going up hills in Western Iowa. I was disgusted!-:t

And on that trip I was only getting 7 mpg IIRC.:wtf1:

I was always impressed with my 8.1 on pulling, and I didn't mind the fuel mileage because at least I could keep up or even set the pace on the interstate.
