I took my K&N filter out of the stock air box to clean it and replaced it with the OEM filter. I made sure the K&N wasn't over oiled and that it was dry before putting it back in. Now I get a P0103 Mass Air Flow Circut, High Input. and the Predator is reading MAF 63.05lb/m. I get the code with the K&N and the OEM filter, I erase it and it keeps comming back. I had the K&N in since it was new and no problems in 19,000 miles. Do I have a bad MAF? Help.

That value seems to be a bit out of range at idle. Have you tried to clean the MAF? Have you checked the plug to make sure it is properly in place?
If you take the motor off idle, do you see a change in MAF values?
If you unplug the MAF, does the motor seem to run differently (using the stored values in the ecu instead of real time readings)?

i'd clean it.. could just be wet with oil.. tech2 usually reads about 43 g/s at idle on mine..

I'd clean it to with a Alcohol base (fast drying) NON residue electric contact cleaner. They sell it at Home Depot around me.

Thanks guys, I tried cleaning it with rubbing alcohol but I still got the fault and it was still at 63.05. I'll try the stuff from Home Depot.

I get the 63.05lb/m MAF reading when the key is in the on position ( engine not running) and when the engine is running, is this normal to get the same reading?

OK, I bought the quick dry contact cleaner and sprayed the sensors, I also installed the OEM air filter and erased the code. I started it up took it for a ride and got another P0103, and the MAF was still at 63.05lb/m. I then erased the code again and unplugged the MAF I recieved the same P0103 and the MAF still read 63.05lb/m. It seems to run the same with the MAF unplugged vs. plugged. I assume my MAF is bad. Since this happened the MAF has always read 63.05lb/m. Any thoughts?

Is this the sensor you are cleaning?
You could just try to put another one in there, I don't know how expensive they are, or if you have access to a Tech 2 you can diag a little further.

Yes that is the one, I don't have access to a Tech II, what else could that tell me?

If you get the same value with the MAF plugged in, and unplugged, with the motor running, and with key just turned on, then start checking the wiring.
If you have a volt/ohm meter start with checking the voltages at the plug.
It sort of sounds like the output (return line) is shorted to the high voltage line.

What color are the output ( return line),and high voltage lines?

I see you have the FINGERS stick. Did you try disconnecting that and testing to see if the code goes away?

Did you try tightning all four clamps and make sure you have a good seal on filter??
This fixed my same problem

I see you have the FINGERS stick. Did you try disconnecting that and testing to see if the code goes away?I talked to Fingers and I am going to disconnect the yellow and the yellow/green wires, and connect the yellow back to the yellow this would rule out the Finger stick or show that it is the Finger stick.

Thanks everyone for your help.:) Fingers suggested disconnecting the yellow and the yellow/green wires from the stick and reconnected the yellow wire that you cut when you install the Finger Stick, and it worked. The MAF is now functioning properly, I must have some how shorted out the stick. Thanks again.
