i have had my quadzilla stealth 2 for about 6 months now and am sick of the thing...the drivability on the 70 horse and higher sucks... from about 1600 to 2000 rpms there is a change where you go from no power to a **it ton and like the throttle is touchy as hell in that spot and the truck shifts like crap in the rpm range! has to be hard on the tranny... thinkin bout gettin efi live put on

Hmmm, I was thinking of changing to EFI V1 also from my quad. I dont have any drivability problems though. Its good for me. I just didnt see any increase in MPG... I run 110hp. Which version do you have? 2.43? You may want to upgrade to 2.54 version and see if that changes anything. I have 2.54.

You might consider a PPE, they have smoother shifts and the power is not so all at once.

Yea, they just have the 2.53 on there website, but email them and they can get you 2.54 and prolly 2.43. I just went to 2.53 to see if i see any differences.

i just took a test run with the 2.53 and seemed better as far as throttle control in the 1600 to 2000 range but its not as smooth as many other programmers that i have experienced riding and driving with before

You guys are learning the hard way. Take it from a lot of us. Put the Quad in the glove box or sell it or chunk it.
Get EFI Live.
mattymax you are likely experiencing the Allison problems because you need to reset the Allison taps whenever you go up in hp on a tune. You have to allow the trans to relearn after you reset it. This could take 50 miles or more. The procedure is 1/4 throttle until smooth shifts......then 1/2 throttle until smooth shifts, then 3/4 then full. Repeat with TowHaul on.......this is critical for good performance. Be sure to allow trans to shift into all gears, on flat roads.
And quit changing tunes. Find a good driveable tune and stick with it. My truck runs better with a 250+hp tune than the Quadzilla 135hp or 215hp tunes. Why? Because I have EFI Live.
Hope this helps.

i have had the 90 horse on it for a tank and a half now, i figured that would be enough time for it to shift properly but its not when it shifts, its just in the rpm range in the same gear where it is really sensitive....on cruise control at 65 it feels like it is just pulsing because of it being so sensitive giving more throttle then less then more again so...who knows
