Just like the title says. Ive never purchased one before, and id like to know if theres any room for negotiation, and also, who and where do i buy from. I live in Las Vegas, and i dont really care for my choices out here. Id like to spend no more then $3000 on a 20ft open trailer to haul my car around on.
Id liike something black, and 20ft long, and if that doesnt have all the makings of some type of sexual reference, then i dont know what does.
Do you guys have any suggestions on brand names, or dealers ??

I have a 18' H&H trailer that did me pretty well. Don't know what other people run much around here.

Ive seen H&H's website, and they seem to be very proud of the fact that they sell to Jesse James, not too mention their prices reflect on it as well. They do seem to build good quality stuff though. I like all the enclosed stuff and the LED's they come with.
I should mention the fact that ive never bought a new trailer before, only borrowed from friends.

This is pretty much the same trailer as I have.
With 2 spare tires, 2 1/2" ball, lock set, voyager brake controller, and 10k ball mount it ended up running me 2,166$ after michigan tax. 2001 model, had been sitting on the lot the whole time. Guess people didn't want a solid sided trailer.
I'd recommend getting the hitch mounted mud flap bar thingy (real technical) that you see some people hauling with if you plan any sort of varied road condition hauling (read ALCAN highway) because it will get pummeled with gravel from a gravel road... Here's one: http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/templates/product/horizontal-item.jhtml?id=0025605521437a&navCount=0&cmCat=srchdx&cm_ven=srchdx&cm_ite=srchdx
The trailer handled very well unless overloaded like I had to be on the way from georgia to nevada. I ended up running 4140 lbs up front, 4380 in the back, and 8780 on the trailer for a total 17300 lbs. Not what I would recommend doing. Once I dropped my spare truck it handled like a dream.
Things I am fixing/changing on my trailer:
Axle flip for added ground clearance
Light shields for road debris protection, the alcan ate all marker lights and almost destroyed both brake light covers.
Bed liner applied to all parts of the trailer that directly face any wheels for gravel protection
New trailer jack that can swing out of the way for increased trailer articulation
Built in spare tire holders on trailer sides w/ locks
New pin for loading ramps
Small winch to front mount for easier loading of vehicles
If I was only using it for car transportation I would look into the tilt beds and so on, using this trailer to rescue a stranded buddy in his 90's z28 required me to literally almost deadlift the rear end to clear the exhaust on the back edge of the trailer. A winch is a good idea as well, because you'll get tired of pushing if that car isn't running at the time for one reason or another.

I'm in the same boat. I really like the H&H Speedloader MX trailer.
