My dad has an 06 cc dually with 25000 miles he has a diabloport predator and everything eles is stock. when hes driven and he goes to get on it he'll punch it and the truck has a slight pause then it'll take off. Any ideas?

Is there anything that can be done for that?

Most hesitations as you state is actually the transmission shifting. If you were to put the selector in M, then downshift to 4th gear manually and punch it, the hesistation would be gone. When it is in D, the tranny has to select a gear based on your throttle input. If it is a mjor acceleration, then it must unlock the Torque converter and down shift from 6th to 5th to 4th, that takes time and translates to a hesitation. Try rolling into the throttle a little more slowly and see if it changes that for you or do the manual shift thing.
