ANybody know why the PPE tuner screws up the fuel mileage read out on the DIC?

The DIC will never be correct. The best way to do it by hand. Now mine is off by 1 mpg.... after going through about a dozen tanks to get a true reading for mpg by hand.

It isnt just PPE because some if not all programmers do this.

You gotta remember, it isnt stock anymore. The timing nor the fuel delivery is stock once you tune it so the computer cant compensate for the added fuel/timing delivery. Hand calculate it like 99% of the rest of the members here do.

mine actuall seems to be more accurate now with the ppe loaded on it. measured my tire size from the ground up as described in ppe directions and works good. i hand calculate it every time i fill up and it is only ever .1 to .2 difference.

Mine is 25% off in the DIC, running the PPE on level 2. Shows 25 MPG-- maybe I could use that, like some other guys do. LOL :rolleyes:

Mine showed 25, however hand calcd it was 24, I was so disappointed:D
