Anyone near here have an idler pulley? Broke down in Barstow,Ca. pulling a 5er. So far can't find a part. Dealer wont be open till Mon. & I was hoping someone might have a spare or a junk Dmax I can get one off. You can reach me at 540-239-1077 Thanks Bill

Seems like some autoparts store should have something as simple as an idler pulley...........not the same on previous MY trucks?

pulleys are the same as older models -- have a parts store look it up a couple years back as the books they have aerent up to date and most of the time niether are the guys looking the part up!

i broke down in clevland,i went to napa and got one that was the same diam. but the wrong inside and used some washers to shim it and got home[chicago] hope this helps

Just went through Barstow on Saturday morning, headed to SoCal from Las Vegas.

There is a much larger Chev/GM dealership in Victorville (30 miles down the road). It is a commercial truck dealership (has C4500 & C5500 trucks on the lot). This dealership would be visible from I-15 southbound on the right side of the highway, as you enter town. If the dealer in Barstow cannot help, you will probably have better luck with the one in Victorville.

Eric, Have been to 3 parts stores, none have the right pulley or even one close. Bolt hole is larger on the ones they have. There is 1 dealer here, and one large dealer 25 miles from here,hopefully one or the other will have one MOnday morn. OC, thanks for the info.

Thanks to all for their help :exactly: The dealer here is having one sent up from Ontario. Hopefully it will be the right one, as the gal at dealer said there were 3 different ones. Keeping fingers crossed, it should be here around 3 PST. Thanks again to all that responded. :cool2:
