Just a little race in an attempt to sell the product. One-upsmanship or whatever it's called. Heifer dust for the most part.

I think GM should just drop the bomb and up it to 400/700. Imagine the reaction from everyone lol

GM had better get into some meetings with allison to beef up the tranny here real soon or the competition is going to win this race. This new horse power and torque are only in 2nd-4th gears (300hp and 520ftlb in 1st and 5th) so something needs to be done real soon.

Notice how the manufacturers are only going up by 5-10 ft-lbs at a time. I guess trying to get that little important edge in the market share, and yet try to keep it "de-tuned" for maximum reliability.

Gm should just build the Allison beefier, and tune up the Duramax like you said, but that would be too simple.

Does any GM dealer offer a tranny upgrade and Duramax upgrade as a dealer installed option, kind of like what Yenko, Berger, and Baldwin-Motion did for chevelles and camaros in the 1960's-70's?

How much more power can you ask for? Sheet.

There's no such thing as too much power:D

Well, if 5 ft./lbs. of torque is enough to sway you one way or another, maybe you need to re-examine your sense of reality.

Anybody who can't see this as marketing hype better also reconsider buying shoes without velcro.

As stated by Carrol Shelby

"If some is good, more is better, and too much is just enough"
