Can my probe for my Autometer EGT gauge also be used to feed the EGT temp to a Banks Six Gun or Edge unit?? Or are the gauges calibrated to feed one device?

If not I guess another probe needs to be tapped into the drivers side!

I had mine hooked up like that for a while and the numbers didn't seem totally off the wall, but there's no way I can vouch for the accuracy of the data - other than the Autometer and the Juice pretty much agreed.

Whether the millivolt signal was lower in level (i.e., lower EGT readings) because it was feeding two devices, I can't say. You'd have to know the input impedance of both modules to have an idea....and if that was super-high, you'd have the best chances of not reducing the signal in both. I think a purist would say that it's not the best to be feeding two devices.

I think this has been discussed before - do a search on pyro and see what you find.

Or, heck, just do a test with some alligator clips - hook your pyro up the Juice normally and then momentarily attach the Autometer - and see if you note a dip in the signal.

I assume that everyone who is running gauges and a box are using two individual probes..

I'm going to call Autometer tomorrow and see what they say. Was hoping this post would add some light!

An electronic and an analog or two analog gauges will work together.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

EGT pyro's generate voltage IIRC. If you try to read it with 2 devices, I would think it would bleed down the voltage. I could be wrong. Certainly if you try, hook in parallel, not series.
