Gettin' ready for a nice thousand mile road trip this week. I'm makin a list and checkin' it twice. With nearly 160 on the clock, I'd like to make sure that I've checked everything that I can think of before loadin' kids and dear wifey.
Got fresh oil, nice new antifreeze, tires nice, new injectors and IP, PMD remoted on a cooler far far away.
Any other little things to add to my list before embarking on this journey?

Change your autotrans fluid. One of the most neglected things on any auto. Tire air pressure, belts, airfilter, tighten hoses, and wash out radiator externally.

for a 1K trip, i installed a 750 watt power inverter....only $69 at autozone.
this way the kids played the "XBOX" on the 19" TV in the back, in between "are we there yet" and "he's looking at me" routine. a TV on the trip helps keep the kids very entertained!

1 qrt of oil, 1 ltr tranny fluid, spare fan belt, walmart special tool kit, 1 gallon of water for the rig. A six pack and bottle of coke in the cooler and a jug of whiskey in the washer fluid tank plumbed into the glove box. Oh ya, don't forget your wallet!

How about a quick check of the rear diff fluid and also of the front wheel bearings, brakes;) might want to take a gander at the u joints also as they are probably the originals. Don't forget the country music):h ):h the politically correct ones, how about George Straight.....honest I don't know where that other name came from
