if i were you , i would install you exhaust from the manifold back.
i just installed a diamond eye system on my 2002 chev, with muffler.
the muffler is reversible, so i put it on with louvers facing to the rear.
the sound is great, and has a deep powerfull sound. i dont think i would put straight pipe on, something about noise level.
2002 ext cab sht box, swiss cheese air box, edge 4 level juice, lots of stainless stuff. hope this helps you. ron.

I recently purchased the 4" MBRP cool duals from Mark along with the front pipe. Nice deep throaty sound, turbo spools up nice and fast, so far no codes. So far I'm happy with the system, first performance exhaust I have ever owned so it took some getting used to. The truck turns some heads, especially when I remote start it with someone standing beside the truck. :muahaha: Oh yeah, support the vendors. Mark was great to do business with and knows his products. JJ :)
