the hot juice is 25 more hp than standard juice at level 5, dont know what the torque difference is. positive-more hp/trq negative- can kill a tranny, level 4 in standard form can also do damage. u can buy a standard juice & upgrade it when u can effectly use it, after tranny mods. im sure somebody can add from experience, i have yet to install standard juice/attitude. just going by what i read

Unless you're going to upgrade your tranny (like I am hopefully this summer), don't bother. I have the Hot Juice and level 4 (+125 HP) is enough to slip the Allison in overdrive whenever you want. I stay the heck out of level 5 (widely known to be more than the advertised additional 25 HP).....tranny destroyer for sure.

If you know you're going to "do" your transmission, be it a clutch in the ZF or a whole bunch of parts in the Alli, and you have a chance to get a HJ, go for it and use all of the discipline you have to keep it turned down.

BTW, I think the hot juice is only for the LB7. The Edge box for the LLY ('04.5 and newer) isn't quite as potent. PM McRat or Kennedy about LLY stuff.

As far as the engine goes, I can't say I recall anyone having trouble due to it.

Not much else negative about it....it's a widely respected unit with a lot of nice features. It's probably the most popular and solid performance box for the Dmax. They do have their share of returns due to odd behavior out-of-the-box, but the customer service is excellent and they seem to get things squared away quickly.

A HOT OJ put down 435 RWHP and 905 RWTQ on my truck, so it will definately put a hurting on a stock Allison...........

I think Tony is FOS, the hot juice is only rated at 145hp gain over stock;) ):h

The hot juice is a LB7 programer and is a running MF, not exactly Xtreme by anymeans but she sh!ts and gets and will leave stang owners:think: :uhoh2: :wtf: :damnit1: :rippedhan :banghead:
