Truck in sig.

Long bed with the 34 gallon tank. Has always been very predictable - use right around 30 gallons and the low fuel light comes on - showed about 1/8 tank on the guage.

For the last three fillups now, the low fuel light comes on at 26 gallons. Guage quickly goes to 'E'. Adding fuel confirms thta the DIC fuel used is accurate but obviously something has changed in the way the guage and low fuel light work.

Is there some kind of float or sensor that is accessable? What could have caused this sudden change?

Did you run over something to collaspe the tank, thus reducing the volume? Just a thought...

The gas guage on my 1/2 ton started acting up. I replaced the level censer in the tank to fix it. I had to drop the tank and pull the fuel pump out and it's hooked right to that. It looks just like a float. But I'm not sure if the diesels are the same way.

Mine seems to be all over the map also.
