Went and met with Tom this weekend and had one of his rear sway bars installed.

Huge difference notice just pulling out of the parking lot. Truck felt extremely solid with next to no body roll.
Changing lanes is also an improvement, again very stable. But where I noticed it the most was on an on-ramp to the freeway. It's 270 degree circle turn. I was able to take it much faster.

Now the front end seems sloppy compared to the rear. I never realized how much the truck would lean in simple maneuvers like changing lanes.
We will be installing a new front sway bar next week. Tom says the fronts are larger in diameter than stock and are solid not hollow.

Only issue we had installing it was we needed to rotate my 4" exhaust out of the way about 1".

Both bars are 4130 chromoly (sp?)and heat treated. When they are made they are heat bent rather than cold bent like others. He tops it with a lifetime guarantee!

I've been able to try a lot of things on my truck and IMO this has been one of the best/cheapest mods. Night and day difference in how it handles.
I can't wait to tow my toy hauler in 2 weeks with these sway bars :)

That's my 2 cents, and no i do not work for or with Tom. Met him from the Diesel Place!

P.S. Posting pictures in this forum is a pain in the ass the way it does it!

Are you gonna get some quick disconnects for the swaybar so you can still flex it up in the dunes?

I asked if the axle would still articulate like it does if needed and he claims it will.
I will see in 2 weeks for sure.

Mines lifted and the kit works. He will soon have different links to go from teh sway bar to the frame mount. I think they will be larger in diameter and longer overall.

The way I understand it is the bar should be close to flat with ground.

Tom should be able to give more details this evening.

how much room does this borrow form the spare tire area, what are the clearances now ?

In my case I had to remove the spare due to us needing to reposition the 4" exhaust. If I left it on there it would have melted (melted more of) the spare. Plus since I have 35" tires my stock spare won't do much.

Took awhile to get the spare out due to my Hy-tech diff cover and the putnam receiver.

The new extended end links are almost done. We are waiting for one more piece to be mass produced. It should only be 2 weeks. The stock kit will work on truck with up to 4" lift. Mike has a 6" lift and it is stretched just a little too far. <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

The additional cost on these end links are $95. They are much larger, longer, thicker, and adjustable.

The Sway Bar kit doesn't come anywhere near the spare. The bar is at least 5 inches below the spare.
