I can not believe the series of events. First a new motor a month ago, and immediately the IP, then immediately the Transmission. Now this.

My scanner says, "glow plug/heater circuit A P0380". I will do a search and see what I can find, but any of you have experienced this? What was it?

The glow plug controller has an output on a terminal that feeds the PCM through a fuse able link off of the glow plugs.

Any power at the GP's when cycled?

How old is your GP? Check the GP controller as suggested above.

K, I think I've found the problem. I had pinched a wire on the glow plug controller when installing the engine. I un-pinched it, started the truck, and the Alternator gauge drops as the glow plugs cycles for the first 10-15 seconds.

I cleared the code and started it again and of course it starts fine now cause it had ran for a few minutes, however the code still kept coming on.

So I checked all the fuses, started it again, and still the code comes on.

I would think that it works now simply because of the discharge that I witness after I start it. It's about 40 above here today.
