I have an 04 ccsb with 112000 miles on it my programmer is set on 90 and i had a precision torque converter installed to supposedly lower my trans temp. My trans temp when i first installed the torque converter was barly over 100* that was with the air temp around 45*. The last couple days the air tep has been around 70* and my trans is up around 180*. Thats an empty truck doing an avg of 30mph and some but not much stop and go driving. is that hot or am i just overreacting? WHAT DO YOUR TRANS RUN AT? If mine is hot what should i do because if that hot now when the air tep gets up around a 100 what will it do.

Ever cleaned the cooler? It's easy to remove the grill and wash it out. I do it twice a year and do all the cores . Bugs and rocks!!
