well i just went up to discount tire to get some 295/75/R16's put on and the salesman said I couldnt get them put on b/c my stock wheels were too skinny???? Said from the factory my rims are only 16x6 and that these tires need an 8" wheel. Is this true?

The stockers are 6.5" wide.

thanks.......are there any aftermarket wheels that look fairly close or resemble somewhat the stock wheels?

Try checking out the Centerline Vector wheels. They are not exactly like stock but close enough for me to buy. BTW, check out their "wheel deals" section and they might have what you're looking for but cheaper b/c of overstocking, I saved 1000 bucks on CHROME (I hate polishing aluminum) 17x9 overstocks.

or you could get some H2 take-offs with tires already on them for a good price, i have seen them on ebay.

am currently searching old posts regarding these, my main concern is will they stick out past the fender lips? Any idea?
