hi guys- i just bought a 94 G30 box van vin Y with a non turbo 6.5 and mechanical ip
has error code DTC 71 which is: DTC 71 - Set/Coast Switch Fault (Cruise Control)

there is no cruise control setup on this van so i don't know why i am getting the code.
i did notice that the vac line (which is used for cruise control etc...)had been cut near the vac pump - the only other vac line i can find dissapears under the dash. - i connected the two pieces with some rubber vac hose. and tried to clear the error codes with the paperclip,brake pedal, acc pedal trick - but i can't get the error code to reset. i guess tomorrow i will disconnect the batteries and wait 30 mins.
anyone have an idea why i might have this code when the van has no cruise control option?

also if anyone has a vacuum diagram for a 94 G30 vin Y or any info- that would be great.

Don't know if this will help or not. Couldn't find the Y engine this is P non turbo.

cleared the codes and drove around - started the engine again and check engine light is back on- same code 71

anyone have an idea what i need to fix this?
