does swiss cheesing the air box and getting a drop in do much other then make some extra noise? looking at intakes just wondering what people have exp. with the stock airbox cutting.

I have an intake but alot of people cut the box. They say it is just as good.

I have a stock cheezzed box with the stock paper filter I think it is just as good as a intake. I had a intake before and sold it.

guess i may just cut the stocker then.

an aftermarket intake will flow better due to the increased surface area of a cone type filter rather than the flat drop in style.

Will someone post a picture of how they cut there factory box. I am thinking about doing that for now.
