I crawled under my truck today to look at a possible filter mount location and noticed one of the DPF pressure differential lines (the rear one) is broken off....I called the dealer and will have them look at it in the morning....my issue / concern is with the regen...is my truck trying to regen thinking the filter is clogged? I ask as I noticed with this tank of fuel I am getting piss poor mileage. Thanks in advance for any info

Surprised there is no code since there is now an open in the circuit. I would suspect at best it reverted to a "timed" re-gen since no re-gen at all would seem to be a bad thing.

I know some have removed the DPF and not gotten any codes for up to 1000 miles....

You get a code right away if you remove the dpf. People have gone 1000 miles with no limp mode. But you always get a cel.

Probably get a code right away on 2008 and newer. When I deleted mine which is a 2007.5 with the original operating system It never came up with DPF error. Left it like that for a few days. Then programmed. But when I went an got the new operating system flash update it of course said filter problem.

Yeah, when I deleted mine on my 08, I probably made it about a mile before I threw a cel.

There is no way they can put a number like that out. As regen has many different things that will set it off. People drive different, fuel is not the same, trucks are not built the exact same, and alt. plays a roll as well.

My thoughts exactly

The Daimler sales guy I met on the plane pointed out that none of the manufacturers have "figured" out the correct frequency and duration of dpf regen, they are in the process of updating the dpf logic. 8|

thats not really a open circuit. and depending if its the forward or rear presure line. it would show tht the dpf is clean so u wont ge a cell for a while untill one of the other 100 paramter at one point arent met

Repaired today...must not have been in regen as I still averaged 12.1 MPG
