3.73 and 4.10's, thats it for the pickups, 4500 and 5500 may get 4.30's, not sure about them.

Hey What Gears Come With The 8.1 . Im Arguing With A Co Worker About It . Thanks Autos got 3.73 gears...stick trucks got 4.10....I believe that 4.10 is an option with the auto, but if you got a stick it was 4.10 only.

4.10's are indeed an option on the 8.1 with the Allison.

In 2001 models w/ 8.1 the only choice was the 4:10's. 2002 models gave you a choice of the 3:73 or the 4:10. When pulling, the gears of choice will always be the 4:10's.

Ive got an 01, 8.1L/ Allison. It came with 3.73's

My 4500 Kodiak has 5.13's w/ a 6 speed.

01's had option of 3.73 or 4.10 with Allison. Owned one with 3.73.
