I would like to get Pros and Cons of either Polished rims or Chome Rims.

I am looking at either the Pro Comp 6001 (http://www.procomptires.com/truck-jeep-wheels/pxa-series-6001-wheels.aspx) or the Eagle Alloys Series 140 (http://aewheel.com/eagle_alloy_wheels.cfm?id=356#).

Thanks,
Bryan

From my experience polished wheels are a pain in the butt. I also like things low maintenance.

don't get polished unless you like a lot to polish wheels better than your other hobbies

Man am I glad I asked... I was thinking polished would be better because no finish to peel off like chrome.

BUT I do like the idea of keeping my other hobbies...

I have polished wheels and NEVER EVER again!!!!! A super pain in the ass to keep them clean. My next set will either be all chrome or black and chrome.

I talked to a shop today that will powder coat them clear. He says he has done quite a few, and never had one come back. He showed my his 56 Corvette. He coated the wheels over 10 years ago. Now when he goes to a show, he just wipes them off, and they shine like chrome plated.

Chrome plate wheels will pit and flake off if they get too much road salt. I am getting ready to order a set of eagle dually wheels that are polished on both sides, and will have them powdercoated with clear before I put tires on.

No matter what wheels I get they will not see salt...

Do you think I will still have to worry about them flaking?
