I was just wondering if the attitude monitor stops reading boost above 25.6 because i can peg it at that but nothing more and im pretty sure im making over 25 because with the attitude on stock mode i can get 24 pounds of boost no problem

LLY's have electronically controlled wastegates by way of the vains on the turbo. The LB7 you have has a manual wastegate and is probably set to blow off at 25psi. If you replace that stock wastegate with an aftermarket one you can tune it for more boost.

I have a Banks Bighead Acuator on my LB7 and all i get is 25.6 lbs boost. in regards to the variable geommetry garret turbo on the LLY, there is a set of inlet guide vains that adjust the opening to the impeller. when at low boost the vains are tight so there is a high pressure of exhaust flow to the impeller this is to cut turbo lag down. As boost builds the vains open up to allow maximum flow for that big top end boost. the computer has a preset max boost and will adjust the vains accordingly to keep from over boosting. in regards to overboosting with the LB7 i used to get a overboost code (check engine light came on) with the predator on the 65hp or higher setting. never had it happen with the Edge.

LB7's cap the boost. If you use the attitude to tune with a big head I have a feeling you are going to grenade your turbo. With an Xtreme and a stock unmodded wastegate and an AFE with exhaust I swung 30psi. LLY's are different

I have a 02 Duramax 6 Speed with 4" straight piped, k&n, hypertech chipped, manual gauges and with the chip on 90HP and stock waste gate, gauge shows around 25psi

In reference to the above Q, I've finally got my Kennedy 4/5" installed (AWESOME). This lowered my EGT's WAYYY down. Now, the only time my Edge "beeps" is for Turbo Boost. I read above were someone mentioned that the LLY is electronically controlled...? Does that mean it will never overboost? (Never say never). Seriously, I need to know if I should ignore it and floor it or back off, or change the settings on my Edge.

I've never checked to see what my Attitude says for boost, never heard a beep. But my Autometer gauge will hit 35 psi boost with juice alone on 5/5. I haven't tried too much with it stacked but I know I can easily hit 35 with low settings on both.
