I need help here. Do anybody know who is the best allison tranny builder in Minn, North Dakota, or South Dakota? I need to find somebody that I can trust building my tranny with suncoast parts. I haven't got the time to build it myself. I'm busy with full time job and running my own part-time business everyday. Hope anybody can help me out here. Thanks!

http://www.goerend.com/index.php They build a great Dodge transmission.
I think Mike L and Goerend have talked on the phone a few times and maybe shared a few secretes.

You may want to consider a Suncoast V. Expecially if you plan to R&R the trans yourself anyway. Just my $.02

Thanks Mike L. for the info. I appreciate it. I have had a lot of thinking all day today about getting suncoast V tranny and swap it straight up. I could do it in my garage overnight no problem at all. I'm still deciding though. Blue Ox isn't gonna take any more abuse until I get bulletproof tranny installed in. Already gone in limp mode too many time. Not good at all. I'm working on $$$ right now. I was wondering if Suncoast V comes with billet input and output shaft along with other billet parts like sungear installed in or will it be upgraded for extra cost? Just curious about it?

Stage V does not include billet shafts. Really no need for them unless your going to be making extremely high HP and TQ numbers.

Oh for your information. I will be planning on adding more horsepower and torque into my duramax after mighty tranny is installed in. I already had hypertech max stacked on edge juice. Got hard on that poor allison tranny when I tried to smoke that S.O.B. high tuned up brand new mustang that I never seen before and he wasn't local either last year. It was embarrassing when it went limp mode on the interstate and he blew by. Not good at all. I hate LOSING!! hahaha!! Otherwise I use Blue Ox for towing a lot and I drive it daily. I love my truck to death. I had to unload hypertech for now and take it easy ever since but still towing trailers and plowing snow with it though. I want the best of the best for my truck no matter what. I got heavy right foot if you know what i mean! haha!

I still dont think you need billet shafts, I doubt that stack makes more than 450hp.

Racinmike77, I plan on adding airdog 150 lift pump, either ppe hot 2+ or Efilive, and possibly dual fueler cp3 installed in the future. My goal is to get allison tranny upgraded first. Then I will go from there to add some more power into that beast. I still have a long list that need to be done on that sweet duramax.

Well let us know who you end up finding someone to do your tranny. That's my next step as well and it would be nice to find a local guy to build em. And when your ready for EFI LIVE give Nick and Wes over at duramaxtuner a p.m. and they'll hook ya up. Good guys over there really know there stuff.

I still dont think a stage 4 is needed until you get in to 2.8 turbos with dual fuelers and larger.

Contact rx1ton, he built mine and a few others for a fraction of the cost. Ive been running mine for over a year with 500+HP and not a single problem. He does fantastic work! He is in buffalo MN! hope this helps.

Build it right one time. Your gonna be putting more and more power to the truck, might as well get the best trans you can afford. If you find a builder go with a scIV. If you just do the swap go with the ScV. You wont be sorry.

I second Kole (rx1ton). I just had him install a suncoast stage IV and everything went flawless.

Thanks everybody for the advice and information about tranny! Truly appreciate it. Now, I know where to go to and what I want to do next. I need one more month of good snow again so I can come up enough money to get the tranny prepared for Blue Ox. Can't WAIT!!

LOL! I'm plowing in Fargo-Moorhead area, there's still a bunch of snow laying around here but melted some of it for the past 3 days now. I guarantee there'll be another snowstorm coming in a couple weeks to a month from now. Maybe not??

I would say go with Kole (rx1ton). I never had a tranny rebuilt, but he did do my trans jr. He took his time & did it right. He is a great guy. I have heard of other people that have had there trannys rebuilt by him also & they were very happy.

I'll agree with the SC-V idea. If you want to do the IV I do have a shop in Rosemount MN I can recommend if you want to call or email me.
