Can you create your own bio percentage by filtering some bio and then adding a certain amount to your tank? Doesn't the bio need to be preheated to 180 degrees first or can it work in some blend directly into your fuel tank?

THX !

I think youre confused........

Biodiesel is vegetable oils that have gone through a chemical reaction in order to remove the fats. Metanol + lye + veg oil.

Some people have run their diesels on straight veg. oil. It needs to be preheated, both before going into the tank, and before being burned. It is much thicker than Biodiesel.

But if you want to mix biodiesel in a tank with regular diesel, it is fine. Just add it in. In fact, I do it all the time............

It is quite complicated. Hard to do in a Max, and undocumented for the most part.

There is bio on mi for sure.
