1994 f250---has anyone converted to svo? My old work truck has 225,000 miles on it and fuel is now $2.35 here - need info - is the 1994 7.3 non tubo direct or indirect, how can I tell? does it matter? - i understand it can be doen for about 600 bucks......will the government give you a hard time using ot since you don't pay and road tax in your fuel?....any help or comments appreciated !

Greasel has done work on Fords and should have some products, info and examples. Link: http://www.greasel.com/ I've read that the older Powerstrokes have been pretty successful for SVO conversions. Welcome aboard and keep us posted.

If it's non-turbo then it shouldn't be a Powerstroke. If that's the case, then it's indirect injection -- better for SVO. If you don't tell the gov't then there's no reason for them to know. There are specific issues with SVOing these trucks, like figuring out the lift pump setup (you'll want two -- one for each tank). But from what I know, it's pretty straight forward. I'm strongly considering SVOing the Chevy this summer.
