Just got back from J&D Performance with my LLY Dmax.

Mods on truck:
4" straight pipe
Mike L. Suncoast/TTS trans.
PPE Tuner
Van Aaken box
Carter lift pump
Trippin pickup
Homebuilt nitrous

All other engine parts stock, including GM Airfilter (10,000 mi old) and fuel filter (7000mi).

No tricks, 4th gear pulls, no Tech II, no unlisted performance mods. No hiccups or bursting.

No tuner, #2 = 278HP/512TQ
PPE + Van Aaken Stack, #2 = 466HP/928TQ :eek: :eek: :eek:
PPE + VA + N20(near empty) = 548HP/1045TQ

Perhaps I am just an air intake away from matching LB7 HP with an LLY. :cool:

Will track test new stack this weekend.

What is significant about these #'s are how close they are to an LB7. A year ago, the LB7's ran 250HP more than us. 6 months ago, we were 100HP down. As of today, we are about 35HP down. I would guess by June, we might catch up.

Damn, I just run my daily driver El Cheapo brand tires. I make up for it with the Fuzzy Dice. ;)

This is just essentially off-the-shelf stuff. Anyone with an LLY can replicate this.

Waiting on TTS Extreme to be released, Hot Juice, and possibly other products. I will test whatever I can get my hands on, and find what works together.

And you know how "stingy" that Mustang is! I can feel the extra 30HP, feels like 50. Frickin' truck is starting to feel FAST. :D Curve is nice. Lots of area under the curve, and doesn't sign off up top. Makes peak at 3000, and TQ is fattest at 2400, lots of "grunt".

Vegas is 2500ft, so it should be similiar to LACR. I think I will hit my 13.99 goal Sunday.

Lots of people on here helped me alot with info, so I try to give back what I can. There is some stuff I cannot talk about due to non-disclosure agreements, but none of those parts are used on my truck at this time.

I have no doubt that when the TTS Extreme comes out for the LLY's, it will be the bomber's choice.

I hope that was either a typo, or you are talking about a 1/2 mile track you are racing at ;) As many trucks with the stock tranny, and #2 only will run 13.99 in the quarter mile, beside, you have already shown that you are faster then that:blahblah:.

My goal when I started was to run Ford Lightning times on #2. I'm 14.21 at high altitude, but have not run a 13 without the bottle. When I get that magic 13.99 on #2 at altitude, it's quick enough.

Obviously if I was running an LB7, I would have been there alot sooner. ;)

No trophies, but we are having a blast... But the weather sucks it blowing an avg. of 40 mph with with some rain. I made 2 passes running 11.72 and Pat made a 2 passes but they put too much VHT on the track. His truck looked like McToad's wild ride. If I thought your truck hopped Pat's was twice as bad tonight.. He was coming about 3 inches off he ground each hop. I was launching at 6200 in the Vette and still bogging :eek:

We packed it up and called it a day and had an awesome dinner...

PS-Pat won another $300 I have to play :D
