Got on the highway after going thru car wash put my foot in her and it stumbled between 4th and 5th gear would not shift in 5th checked with pda and got p0700 tcm malfunction this has never happened before could it be coincidence with the car wash

Thats a loss of communication I believe. Did you pressure wash the under carriage? It may be possible (rare) that the main TCM harness at the transmission has a bad connection. let it dry out. If it still codes then disconnect the harness at the transmission, spray some contact cleaner on the contacts. Let it dry and reassemble.

this just happened to me 0700 0735 .with your programer you prob slipped the c3 c4 clutches,they say cut the power down, replace your spin on filter and save $ for trans upgrade

p0735 is incorrect 5th gear ratio I had my programer on #3 that's not juicing things up that much on the banks otto mind 6 the truck would not shift into 5th gear trucks seems fine now

mine threw the same code and did the same thing about 4 weeks ago. cleared the code and alls been well since.

mine was dry and on level 1 tow 35hp, was going to pass someone my truck slamed down hard in 4th and stayed there till i shut it off and threw the code

being wet has nothing to do with it. if you get a p0700 then that is the generic code. you need to actually getin to the tcm and find out what the code is. bottom line is you have slipped a set of clutches and they will continue to slip easier and easier. so back the power way down and start saving money for a tranny build
