Hey guys i'm new on here and just wanted to say i've gotten a lot of useful info off this site. I bought my first diesel back in October and have been trying to do as much maintenance on it myself as i can. I've been reading about blocking the EGR valve and was wondering if anyone knew if the Bully Dog Power Pup programmer will turn off the codes or if I had to go a different route. The programmer was already on the truck when I bought it and haven't played with it much.

Power Pup does not. Being an LLY you can buy a finger stick to take care of that without programming. Other option is use EFILive to program the DTCs for EGR to not be monitored.

Predator version 2.02 will also do the trick...

Thanks guys. I think i'm gonna go the fingerstick route. It seems fairly simple but is it actually worth the time and effort to do it?
