it is still an international engine, it won't be like a powerstroke cuz its mechanical and indirect injected, not to mention non-turbo. it should be alot slower and harder to upgrade but will still last forever.

no it does have a turbo it was fords version of a turbo diesel.......but other than that should i look into a powerstroke or would you think that a 7.3l turbo diesel idi wouldbe ok?

is it turbo?(94 should be just not a p-stroke) anyway my 6.9 with a hypermax turb hauls great yes not as good as a p-stroke but no electronics to mess up with these you turn the IP pump up and make shure it's geeting alot of air and you will be impressed with it... mine has over 200000 miles on it

Decent engine overall. Would reccomend a good exhaust and guages for it. FORD restricted the boost by crimping the down pipes and y pipes similiar to that of the 6.5's. Easy to turn up the fuel on them. Glow plugs are also another weak area, ONLY use FORD BERU's in them unless you want to chance them going through your engine. Also some issues with blocks getting pinholes in them because FORD used the wrong anti-freeze in them origanally.
