Yes, but without switches of course.

Yes, they are angled, 5 degrees. But the "left" side is opened up a little to give a better view. Thanks.

I like it. I already have one of your overhead mounts, fine piece of workmanship. Slightly off topic but I wonder if you know what the model number is for that single needle Firestone gauge on the left. It would be a perfect match for the dual needle one I have for my air bags. I would greatly appreciate any info. Thanks.

Well I'm gonna sound like an asshole, but somebody had to say it sooner or later:

Did you ask Trippin for his CAD drawings, or did you just happen to conjure this idea from thin air? The switches are quite original as well.

I know it's a free country and Trippin probably doesn't have his mounts patented...but come on man--decency is decency.

Am I totally missing something here?

Guys,

This mount is for the lower console. A few had asked about doing this. I have some drawings but haven't actually made or marketed a part.

Clyde got it done first. No harm, no foul, in my book. Kudos to him for getting it done. The community as a whole benefits. :ro)

Clyde has purchased and installed many of my products. Hopefully he continues to do so.

Now if he copies any of Super Diesel's parts or my upper console mounts and pickups, he could get a reputation as a scum bag on these boards pretty quickly. -:t

I doubt Clyde would do that. He seems like a stand up guy to me. Money isn't everything. Integrity and self respect is worth far more in my book. :D

Trippin, you are correct in assuming that I would not copy your products. I respect myself and you more than that. A customer approached me and wanted a lower console gauge mount made, so I made one. This particular customer I had already installed a trippin upper mount, so the lower console and the switches were a perfect match.I like the way it came out and decided to make them available to the public. CoyoteKid, its ok if you sound like an a$$hole, you should have looked at the pictures a little closer to see that it is for a lower console. You're right decency is decency so you can apologize whenever you're ready.

Clyde, I'll be gettin in touch with ya for a triple mount

And apologize I will!

I'm sorry for accusing you of something you didn't do. I did in fact realize that your mounts were for the lower console, but I jumped to conclusions that you ripped off the design from Trippin. Here is a prime example of a time where I should have kept my mouth shut and didn't.

So, with that, I again apologize for being an asshole. I would like to say that I never criticized your work--I would order a mount tomorrow if I had an LT model with the center console, but my LS has no place for the mount.

I've been looking for something like this! Very nice job!

Do you happen to have a pic or two of the black powder-coated one? I'm curious to see how it looks before I decide which one to buy.

Thanks in advance,

Your awesome my friend!
Thanks for watching my back. :ro)

It takes a hell of a man to stand up for principles, and an even bigger man to offer apologies when necessary. :rockit:

ok, heres an idea for one of you guage mount makers,
instead of just using the lower slotted hole for the guages, use the whole front into a plate that you could mount guages, switches, attitude, gps, cigar lighter, extra lighter, whatever you can think of and get rid of both pockets instead of just one.
just an idea.
what do you think?

Would you be able to use the dual guage mount with controlls for Rancho air adjustable shocks?

Thanks,

The Rancho gauges are quite a bit smaller (1 5/8) than the 2 1/16 gauges in my standard mounts. I could make one up for the overhead for you if you don't mind waitng a little while. I'm always up for a challenge. Plus, I just happen to have a set of Rancho controls sitting right here.

If you want to install it in the lower console like the one at the beginning of this thread, I would recommend you talk to Socaldieseltech about modifying his design as he is now the keeper of the lower console. :D

PT356,
If you buy a mount from Socaldieseltech and want it to match my upper mount, I can pick it up from Socaldieseltech and process it for you with my next batch to insure a matching finish. N/C

Socaldiesel and Trippin,

Do you guys have any ideas for mounting gauges and an Attitude? I'll be installing my pyro and boost in your overhead Trippin, but I'd like to have the potential to put an Attitude in as well if the HJ for LLY's looks promising.

Since I have an LS, Socal's mount won't work. The A-pillar is always an option, but I haven't seen any of those mounts that look "quality" to me--all cheap looking.

I have an LT so I can't even use mine for a reference.
I'm open to suggestions.

Trippin,

I have an LS as well, so no lower guage mount for me. I'd like the upper one if you can fabricate it. What do you think it'll go for?

Thanks,

I am really interested in the Attitude mount in that location! Please advise as soon as pictures are available and include order info. Nice looking piece, and in a favorble location for my truck with the sunroof.
Hey Trippin'... Those rims work out for you?? We'll be at Irwindale on the 23rd hopefully putting a new coat of wax on those WCPT guys. Maybe we'll see you around.

Looks like I need to make two of them so far. Let's just quote it the same as the others $125.00.

Don't tell me your going to roll that thing out of the trailer and go right to the front. You'll have the whole class parked at Lester's office door.

If I have your color/style in stock, just 5-7 days UPS shipping. Sometimes I run out of a specifc color/style in which case it could be 3-4 weeks to manufacture a large run of them and then send out for finishing. PM me with the name the order was placed under and I'll see how quickly I can get it to you. I'm sorry about the wait.

Any pics of the attitude center console mount yet??? I dont thing the attitude will fit in my o-head console like they do in previous years, anyone install in the o-head console of an 05 with sunroof/homelink? Even just holding the attitude up to it, the hole is to small to fit it(without cutting).
