i have a 2003 Duramax LB7. Can somone tell me how many actual pins there are on the lower (larger) connector on the engine harness under the hood?

it's odd but i wanted to be sure i didnt lose one.

What makes you think you lost one?

because i un hooked the banks system from my truck and started having all sorts of trouble with it. When i look at the two harnesses i notice there are 35 pins on the male end of the trucks harness but there are 36 pins on the male end of the banks 6 gun harness. Just trying to rule out any scenario

ok well I went out in the freezing cold and took mine apart. I have 35 pins also. So I think it is something else. So what is it doing exactly?

ha thanks man. I dont know what cold is about. It's 80 degrees here at noon lol.

Ive posted in the other forums but i got the NSBU symptoms after i pulled my banks setup off the truck. replaced the NSBU twice, now has the allison part, also replaced the ignition switch. cleaned all connections on all harnesses and greased them up, checked the tranny fluid, pulled codes...got a u2106 which apparently is a loss of communication with the TCM. heres the catch...it only has problems in the morning. When i let it sit overnight and get to go to work in the am i get the abs/brake light, DIC says service brake system, no indicator under the gear, no speedo, no trans temp, no reverse lights and the hard shifts into reverse and drive and only the use of reverse and 3rd.

BUT, every single day i go check it out at lunch and it works perfectly, just like it should. I have NO idea whats going on and even after talking to the allision guy he was stumped and all he could suggest was checking the chassis grounds and re installing the Banks system and seeing what happens.

Wish I didn't know about cold either. Lucky you don't. Been freezing cold here for awhile. Have you taken to dealer? I know some suck but they do have better computers to diagnose. Just a thought but you may try to have it reflashed and see what happens. Obviously it is a electronic malfuntion somewhere.
