I have sold my 2004.5 LLY and now want to order a 06 and my dealer does not have any info yet on an 06. I would love to have a 6sp. Allison and more horse power. I called Allison today and they said that they have no plans now to activate the 6th. gear, the trans. has it, but no valve body to support the 6th. gear. HELP!! Does somebody have some answers to what we might see in 06? And when? I hate to settle for a 05 now that the rebate is much lower. Howard, Landuytg Please spill the beans we need better fuel milage! My GMC dealer told me last week that the 6 speed would be a 2006.5 change. You know how that is.

I can spill some of them. My friend is going to Wyotec, a diesel tech school. They are currently working on transmissions, and guess what they just got 8 of? That's right, they just got 8 new Allison 6 speeds to tear appart and study, so they can do any repair to them.

The 6 speed is coming, I am sure of that. IDK about the 06 or 06.5 but it will be here. To bad Allison PR won't do it, and we always have to dig for the inside scoop.
